How often do you need to PAT test?

The Duty Holder, (health & safety officer) is ultimately responsible, To ensure all electrical appliances are safe.

What needs to be Tested?

Any appliance that gets its power from a plug needs to be PAT tested.

  • IT Equipment

  • Portable equipment

  • Stationary equipment

  • Hand-held equipment

  • Moveable equipment under 18kg

  • Fixed appliances

IS PAT Testing a legal Requirement?

The Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 make it your responsibility to make sure all your Electrical equipment is safe to use,

you should regularly inspect, test and maintain electrical appliances to make sure they are compliant.
